The Warm Homes Plan is the UK government’s long-term strategy to cut energy bills and tackle fuel poverty, backed by around £15 billion of public funding. The plan brings together several schemes including the Warm Homes: Local Grant, which offers eligible private homeowners and tenants up to £30,000 of fully funded improvements such as insulation, solar panels, and heat pumps, alongside the continuing Boiler Upgrade Scheme. Eligibility for the Local Grant is based on your EPC rating (D–G) and household income. Yes, in many cases, private tenants can access ECO4- funded improvements, but the landlord's permission is required.
